Great gas prices. Clean restrooms and a diner or Subway to grab a bite. Just don't try to use a debit card at the pump as debit. For some reason it won't work that way. You have to use credit option. And the clerk says it's always been that way. Yet, the pump still asks "Debit or Credit". And you have to waste a trip into the store to find this out, because there's no signage to inform you that it's always been this way.
This place is nice, it a change from the typical truck stop. It's more of a novelty. The restaurant is good with good service and moderate prices. The store restrooms and showers are very clean. Being an over the road truck driver it's important to have showers available when we stop. The website doesn't mention anything about showers.
If you have never been here it is a good stopping point during your road trip.
But now for the food: this is where the "could be so much more" comes in. The selection on the menu is very Homestyle with a focus on comfort food. That said, I've tried it twice and both times it was just bland. I'd say the highlight is the fried cornbread. Other than that, it just typical. Nothing special, but there could be. Spice up the meats in the taco salad and don't murder the beans in the beans and rice. Perhaps some spicier sausage as well.
Great burgers and real onion rings. All in a fun kitsch setting. Great music. All around good experience.

Could be so much more. Large parking lot (which they're patching - thank you) Truck wash on site. Facilities are clean and doesn't feel like just a C-store with a parking lot.
This is my most favorite stop in all of Alabama. I make this a planned stopping point any time I'm running across the 10. They've redone the place a lot since I 1st started staying here 5 years ago. (Trucker)
